"One of my strong obsessions in Japan is finding the true intention of things, learning how the public face contrasts with the hidden face of Japan. That obsession pushed my return to photography after a long hiatus.

The lifestyle of the urban centers stimulates me to immerse myself in this fascinating culture, wandering, trying to find the secrets and forgotten areas of the city.

Omote and Ura, meaning surface and back respectively, is in my opinion the quintessence of Japanese culture; fundamental concepts to achieve reading between the lines in this society.

My photography seeks to capture those moments of revelation where that Ura can be seen naturally or is discovered due to my compulsive drive to see the truth."
